Tourist Spots

Peruntheenaruvi - about 5 Km                                                                                                                                              
Peruntheenaruvi (translation: The Great Honey Stream) is an important tourist destination in Pathanamthitta.
Located on the Western Ghats of the Sahyadri Range, Perunthenaruvi is famous for the waterfalls there.
Rather than the height, the stream here spreads over a wide area.
 
It is a spectacular view of the water bubbling over the rocks. Moreover, the singing of the birds and
the gush of the wild breeze enhances the tour spirit. The stream later unites with the holy river Pamba.

Thekkady – about 85 KM      
Thekkady is India 's largest wildlife sanctuary. It is a dream destination for any tourist visiting India .
The 120 years old 'Surki' dam built across Peryiar, is a major tourist attraction. This sanctuary is spread over
an area of 777 Sq.Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms. 
                                                                                                                                                                          
 
 
Kuttikanam – about 45 KM                                                                          
Kuttikanam is a pleasant hill station and the Maharaja of Travancore built his summer palace there.
 
 


Elephant camp, Konni – about 1 hour by car
Covered by an extensive forest area, Konni has the largest number of wild elephants in the state.
These wild elephants, caught from the forest, are brought here. They are later trained for work.
