Arayanpara Estate

Hidden away in the plantation belt of southern Kerala is ‘Aryanpara Estate’ owned by ‘The West Coast Industrial Company Limited’. Our home-stay combines the comfort and distinction of a boutique hotel with the personal hospitality, informality and local knowledge enjoyed when staying with family friends. We offer an insight into the culture, traditions, history and everyday life of the life in a rubber estate. What’s more, guests get the chance to enjoy authentic Kerala food at its very best - home cooked!

Arayanpara Estate is a rubber plantation, and rubber plantations in Kerala produce most of the latex in India. Rubber is derived from latex, a milky colloid found in the sap of the rubber tree. The trees are ‘tapped’, that is, an incision made into the bark of the tree and the latex sap collected and refined into usable rubber. We offer to take our guests for a Plantation tour of our estate. When you trek through our plantation you can watch rubber being tapped, coffee beans being picked – in fact, a plantation at work.

The estate bungalow in the plantation over looks the Western Ghats. The Western Ghats is the mountain range along the western side of India. It runs north to south along the western edge of the Deccan Plateau, and separates the plateau from a narrow coastal plain along the Arabian Sea. The range starts near the border of Gujarat and Maharashtra, south of the River Tapti, and runs approximately 1600 km through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala ending at Kanyakumari, at the southern tip of India.

Booking is easy. You can do it via the website or by telephoning or emailing us directly. We are dedicated in providing you with the best, safest and most enriching experience of living in an estate surrounded by a rubber plantation. We hope you enjoy your visit…
